This broody farmyard hen was spotted sitting on a litter of kittens after they strayed in to her nest. A cat intruded on her usual nesting spot and used it to keep her kittens warm. Instead of kicking up a fuss, the bird appeared to adopt the four kittens and sat on the kittens and their mother. Husband and wife Linda and Richard Oldani captured the sight on camera at their farm in Clymer, New York.

Oh my god so I have this cat that never wants anything to do with me, like when I try to pet him he slinks under my hand and runs away and stuff. And this morning, through the crack in my door, I see him waiting patiently outside of my room.
Now, he’s recently become bros with the new kitten, who is a lot more friendly than he is and loves affection.
When I open the door, I see that both the kitten and the cat are waiting outside my room together, as if my kitten has finally convinced him that I’m not so bad or something. And when they walk into my room, my cat lets me ruffle his fur.
THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP! SUCCESS!
What is it with kittens and trying to climb into the refrigerator?
It’s like, no. I do not want to keep you cold so that you don’t spoil and I can later have you as a tasty snack. I’m a vegetarian, kitty.
